I believe there are some overhaul mods available for the whole system. Trading: Yeah, the import/export system kind of sucks. Building military buildings will also temporarily boost your standing. The loyalty of your military will be low if you have policies active that oppose militaristic values.

Military Coup: One thing you can do to increase military loyalty is choose constitutional options and edicts that support the military, like conscription or military drills. If approval is a real problem you can take a look at the size of the factions on your island and try to cater your policies/edicts to the biggest factions and/or win over the factions that currently hate you. If you have an island with tons of religious folks, but you adopt policies that favour atheism, your approval percentage will remain low even if you approve amenities because your people disagree with your governmental policies.

So I'm not the ultimate expert by any means, but I can share a few things.Ĭitizen Happiness: Citizen happiness is also affected by your political choices. Thank you to anyone who can help or provide info on these questions. How come when I create apartments that require low wealth to live in people refuse to move in and stay homeless? In colonial era, will The Crown keep offering the quests to increase your mandate forever or does he have a finite amount of quests and they will run out eventually? I know power plants and nuclear power plants run on coal/gas and uranium respectively, but if you have a geothermal plant next to a volcano, will it create unlimited power forever?

I know how to upgrade libraries to research faster, but if you have more than one library does this also allow you to research faster? I build around 3-6 and seem to build faster than having just 1. Do they raise happiness and are they beneficial to the country in any way or should I continue to ignore them?īesides leveling up dynasty members and some missions in the campaign, I cannot spend this money on anything, correct? Feels weird that I have 700k in my Swiss Account and I can't do anything with it. Why is it that when I don't have a trade route active my goods still get shipped to a dock and get sold?(Although for much less money) How come when I do have a trade route I grow further and further into debt and I don't earn money from even just exporting something easy such as oil or uranium? Also, do you need more than 3-4 docks right next to each other? I've noticed if you have more than a couple close together some don't seem to export goods.Īlthough you can earn a small income off of tourists, I've never focused more than a few hotels on bringing in tourists. I understand the how the trading system works for both importing and exporting, but there are still some parts I don't have a clue about. What can I change to have my military be more loyal? I have increased their pay, given them better training and better weapons, but I always struggle with this. But when I have a military they often cause a coup even when overall happiness is 50%+. To decrease a rebel threat, you should make people happy and eventually the rebels will dissipate. Why does this happen and what are some key things to making people happy and increasing the thumbs up percentage? If people feel bored and want entertainment, I build parks, taverns, restaurants, and more yet they remain unhappy. For example, if people are unhappy due to a small variety of food and I build different plantations and more supermarkets, they still remain unhappy and nothing changes. I know how to check each individual status for happiness and how to increase them, but whenever I do it doesn't seem to change. If someone could help explain why I always have trouble with these issues and / or give a solution that would be great. However, there are still some things I always have trouble with no matter what I do.

So I have been playing Tropico 5 on PS4 ever since it came out for free for PS Plus members earlier this year around April, and while I am not the greatest at it, I think I am better than the average player.
